A classical favorite from Grieg’s Peer Gynt suite! This beginner/elementary arrangement of “In the Hall of the Mountain King” takes beginners all around the keys with octave changes, using repeats and 8vas for ease in reading. LH and RH each get the chance to play in both clefs. The chromatic skipping passages with black keys are shared across the hands, making this arrangement very beginner friendly. Best for early to mid beginner level and great for small hands (largest melodic interval is P5). A fun performance piece in a minor key!
This is an elementary piano arrangement of Grieg’s lyric piece “Puck”, all about the mischievous little kobold (or nisse/tomte) creature from Norwegian folklore. These fairy tale gnome-like creatures protect the family they live with from evil and misfortune, and even help with chores — unless they’re insulted, in which case they will play tricks, steal, or punish in other ways. Puck is a playful but easily offended creature, so one must please them with gifts to prevent their mischief!
This piano arrangement perfectly captures the mood of Grieg’s original music, at a level that is comfortably playable for later beginners. Enjoy the delightful contrast between staccato and slurred passages, with dance-like runs and hops. A fun performance piece in a minor key!

“From sea to shining sea!”, America the Beautiful is a favorite American patriotic piece. This arrangement for late beginner pianists is an easy piano solo perfect for a summer performance. Requested by a student who wanted to play a “flowy version”, this arrangement is accompanied by broken LH chords and has beautiful dynamic contrast that make for an inspirational patriotic performance.
The memorable Carol of the Bells is arranged here for beginner pianists. Even earlier beginners can thrive learning this arrangement of Carol of the Bells due its repetitive four-note motif and simple LH accompaniment that stays mostly in a 5-finger position. Minimal pedal adds a rewarding fullness of sound at key transition points throughout the piece. This arrangement of the Ukrainian Bell Carol is a holiday favorite among new pianists of all ages.
