Holiday Shout-Out!

This holiday season has been overflowing with musical performances - choir, ensemble, solo, you name it! It's been a never-ending celebration of Christmas music. While this has been enjoyable, unfortunately all the hustle and bustle has meant that I've had no time for MusicAndTheory! So I'm stealing this moment for a quick HOLIDAY SHOUT-OUT to...

  • All the other busy holiday musicians! You're all working SO hard this time of year. Don't forget to take some time to enjoy the holidays with your families.
  • Fans of Christmas Music everywhere! (Including some of my own students who can't get enough of it and who are now learning their 4th/5th/20th Christmas song this season.)
  • James Lord Pierpoint, composer of Jingle Bells! This was a favorite in my piano studio this year, especially my go-to beginner arrangements of Jingle Bells and Jingle Bell Jazz. I've had tons of fun arranging new versions and will be sure to upload the newest ones to MusicAndTheory in time for Christmas 2019.

On that note... Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
